Oct 5, 2008 - May 28, 2009	Mesa, AZ	390 miles	Palm Gardens RV Resort	Arrived in Mesa, AZ at 5:00pm on 10/5/08. Very nice accommodations. Stayed 8 months. Spent tons of time exploring the Sierra Ancha Wilderness Area (in Tonto National Forest) on foot, mountain bike and motorcycle. Mines galore in this area! Mountain biked and hiked the 160 trail (tough!). Great scenary. Climbed down into Salome Canyon in the Sierra Ancha Wilderness and experienced a very strange noise echoing through the canyon walls -- it was frogs mating! Rode motorcycles in the Florence and Superior area in AZ. Included Walnut Canyon, Box Canyon, Coke Ovens, Martinez Canyon, etc. Mountain biked, hiked and rode motorcycles in several areas outside of Payson, AZ. Areas included the Mogollon Rim, Water Wheel Falls, Arizona Trail, etc. Saw a rattlesnake on one of our rides. Yikes! Did mountain bike trails in a dried river bed outside of Payson. Lots of natural obstacles! Hiked and mountain biked the Usery Mountain area in the east Phoenix Valley. Rode the motorcycles to the abandoned Sunflower mercury mine. Tough run! Visited Jerome, AZ which has a rich mining history. Rode the motorcycles on the Hot Loop Trail and Schnebly Hill in Sedona. Also explored the mountains east of Sedona. Fun! Rode the motorcycles to the remote town of Crown King several times. Tough run! Hiked a portion of the Kachina Trail in Flagtaff (part of the Kachina Peaks Wilderness). Rode mountain bike trails at the Williams St wheels park in Mesa. Lots of displaced youths!
May 28 - Jun 1, 2009	Flagstaff, AZ	170 miles	J & H RV Park	Rode motorcyles & mountain biked in Coconino National Forest. Beautiful view of Humphrey's Peak which is highest peak in AZ.
Jun 1, 2009 - Jun 25, 2009	Marysvale, UT	315 miles	Lizzie & Charlie's RV Park	Explored the Tushar Mountain range on the motorcycles. Included Cottonwood Canyon, Gold Gulch and Bullion Canyon. Abandoned mines and building everywhere. Tons and tons of mining history! Visited Miner's Park and hiked to Bullion Falls. Rode Thunder Mountain, Gooseberry Mesa and Slick Rock Swamp Trails on the mountain bikes in the Bryce Canyon and Zion area.. Rode the motorcycles on the Gooseberry trail system outside of Richfield, UT. Part of the Great Western Trail system. Saw a black bear while riding in the Tushars.
Jun 25 - Jul 2, 2009	Arco, ID	435 miles	Mountain View RV Park	Visited Experimental Breeder Reactor #1 (EBR1) which is the world's first electricity-generating nuclear power plant. Now decommissioned and is a US National Historic Landmark. Hiked a section of trail that led to the highest peak in ID (Mt. Borah). Rode motocycles in Bayhorse Lake area. Lots of mining history to be found.
Jul 2, 2009 - Jul 16, 2009	Stanley, ID	150 miles	Elk Mountain RV Park	Gateway to the Sawtooth National Recreation Area. Beautiful area! Mountain biked to Marshall Lake (a remote mountain lake). Kayaked/rafted portion of Salmon River. Rode motorcycles on Bench Creek Trail, Elk Mountain Trail, Stanley Lake Trail and Fisher Creek Trail. Lots of single track riding.
Jul 16 - Jul 22, 2009	La Grande, OR	305 miles	Eagles Hot Lake RV Park	Great wheels park for doing trials. Scenic drive to Wallowa Lake in Joseph, OR. Extremely scenic.... like a calendar picture! Rode the motorcycles in the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest.
Jul 22, 2009 - Aug 5, 2009	Monitor, WA	270 miles	Wenatchee River County Park	Rode motorcycles with friends Matches & Magoo on trails in the eastern side of the Cascades. Trails included the Tronsen Ridge, Red Devil Trail, Yaksum Canyon, etc. Nice! Rode mountain bikes and hiked in the Wenatchee National Forest. Trails included the Chikamin Creek Trail, Lower Chikamin, etc. Very nice! Visited Rocky Reach Dam which spans the Columbia River. Watched the samon migrate through the ladders. Fruit orchards everywhere..... best cherries ever!!
Aug 5, 2009 - Oct 22, 2009	Bellingham, WA	180 miles	Bellingham RV Park	Mountain biked and hiked many of the trails on Galbraith Mountain in Bellingham. Great place!! Rode the motorcycles to Artist Point in the northern Cascades. Rode Collonade mountain bike skills park in Seattle. View of Mt. Baker right outside the bus. Love it! Hiked the Mt. Seymour north shore trails in N. Vancouver, BC, Canada. Hiked to Fragrance Lake in the Chuckanut Mountains.
Oct 22, 2009 - Oct 25, 2009	La Grande, OR	425 miles	Eagles Hot Lake RV Park	Enroute to Park City, UT. Visited Hot Lake Springs Resort (restoration project of an old hotel/restaurant/resort).
Oct 25 - Oct 29, 2009	Mountain Home, ID	215 miles	Mountain Home RV Park	Enroute to Park City, UT. Visited Bruneau Dunes State Park and hiked the sand dunes. Interesting! Mountain Home Air Force Base close by. Saw jets fly overhead.
Oct 29, 2009 - May 2010	Park City, UT (Kimball Junction)	325 miles	Park City RV Park	Plans are to ski at Deer Valley Resort. Visited the Utah Olympic Park where the 2002 Olympics were held. Attended a World Cup bobsled competition. Hiked in Emigration Canyon and Lamb's Canyon. Lots of history associated with these canyons.
